uni: this blog is indeed very much about marketing hahahha.

i think it depends on what the receiver of the gift does for a living. if he or she is a driver or loves travelling/driving a lot, i don’t see how getting an esso gift card would be a bad idea at all. at least it is something that is useful to the person…though i have to agree that it doesn’t look too appealing as a xmas present…

Exactly what I thought.

Too practical indeed, and the kind of gift card you get shows how your friends think of you. If you get a Chapters gift card, then you are a book person. If you get a Futureshop gift card, then you are a gadget person. If you get an Esso gift card, then you are a.. uhmm.. driver.

25 bucks don’t fill up the tank not even half.the best gift card should be able to use multiple times, small necessity purchases then every time u use u think of the gift giver.i got 25 dollars for starbucks gift card. though i hardly ever goes in starbucks by choice. i brought my 1 week’s worth of breakfast there w/ the gift card.

well I guess it’s bad because it doesn’t give people incentives to ride a bike or take public transport instead of drive huh?

I think it would be a good idea for people who do drive…. I think it’s a better idea than buying a gift that you don’t know whether your friend will like, need or use….?
